• Developing sophisticated Geographical Information Systems in C++ utilising MFC libraries for a broad cross-section of headquarters operations. Integrating externally supplied data sources to provide coherent geo-referenced decision- support tools exploiting Relational Databases and Open Database Connectivity, employing embedded SQL.
• Working closely with external software developers to enhance DCOM components integrating specific stakeholder requirements.
• Developing bespoke COM ActiveX objects to integrate complex data sources, building user interfaces aimed at minimising the training requirement for users with widely differing skill level.
• Project manager for integrated micro-electronic equipment’s, introducing new capabilities from the developing marketplace. Enabling COTS technologies to reduce cost and time of development.
• Developed a Web-based SQL-Server database utilising ASP to record geographical location data from remote terminals over TCP-IP Sockets.
• Assess various COTS technologies in support of project development tasks, advising and communicating solutions to internal and external stake holders.
